Good morning. On behalf of the Insurance & Surety Committee, the Committee meeting scheduled for noon today is cancelled.

We want to remind everyone that on Wednesday, April 22, 2026, there will be a one hour CLE program by Robert Friedman starting at noon on the topic of Allocating Claims Risks in Commercial Leases.

Allocating risk in commercial leases is essential for any party in a lease. The two of the most common ways to allocate risk are through contractual indemnification and additional insured coverage. Are you sure that you have the correct language to allocate risk for your client? How do you make sure there is no gap in coverage that leaves your client exposed to claims? Come learn about the types of contractual indemnification and what language you need for additional insurance coverage before a claim is made against your client.
