Just a quick update from my email of last weekend. Again, I’d like to thank Hillary, Dave, Amy, Chip, Steven and others in this group who have gone up to Tallahassee and fought for our clients and our industry this year.

I am also writing to ask you for additional help! The insurance lobbyists (although they continue to cry poor and claim an insurance crisis) are seemingly able to pour endless buckets of cash into their tort reform propaganda, and into backing reps/senators who they think will push forward their agenda.

Last week, I recommended donating to the FPC:  https://www.fpcooperative.org/  theAAA: https://americanadjusterassociation.org/ the FJA: https://www.myfja.org/  or  to FAPIA https://www.fapia.net/. Please do so if you haven’t already!

I also promised that I was working with the AAA to get links up and running so that we could all easily write in to our respective Florida House Representatives and Senators to VOTE NO on HB 305 and SB 76 and have our clients do the same. They’re finally ready.

Unlike our tort reform counter-parts, we’re transparent and explain the bills so people know what they’re actually asking their legislators VOTE NO on. The first link has a full analysis of the bill and breakdown in laymen’s terms. It contains a call to action button that makes it simple for the person to type in their information and send a pre-populated letter to their respective senators & reps. (It will auto-populate your respective rep & senator based on address/zip code, too) The second link is slightly simpler, but it still explains the gist of the bills and takes you straight to where you can write in once you input your info. I have already circulated these links on my Linked In, Facebook and Twitter. Please do the same & circulate to your client bases.
