Greetings Leasing Committee members!

Below is important information regarding registration for the Section meeting in Miami in November.

COMMITTEE MEMBERS, PLEASE THOROUGHLY AND COMPLETELY READ THE FOLLOWING BEFORE PROCEEDING TO REGISTER:


  1.  Attached is a Brochure for the committee meetings and events that will be occurring in Miami in November.  Please recognize that certain events are noted as only being open to Executive Council members - as such, you will not see these events when you go to the registration webpage referenced below.
  2.  You should first log into your Florida Bar account (NOT on the RPPTL Section website), and then click on the link provided in #7 below to begin the registration process.
  3.  After you have completed your registration for the available events, you will reach the following webpage:

  1.  Click on "Continue to Event" and a new page will appear with the following at the top of your screen:

  1.  Click on "Hotel Reservation Info" and it will lead you to accessing the hotel website to make your hotel room reservation.  At the time that this email is being sent, there are still hotel rooms available, but the number is limited, so we recommend making your reservation as soon as possible.
  2.  Please note that you can only reserve 1 hotel room under the room block - if you desire a second room, you will need to contact the JW Marriott Marquis directly and book under their standard rate.  If somehow an error is made by the JW Marriott Marquis that provides you with a second room within the room block, please be aware that we will be canceling your second room (as we monitor the room block) - again, we have a limited number of rooms.
  3.  Now that you have read the above, here is the link to the Bar website - https://member.floridabar.org/s/lt-event?id=a1R1R0000052fa9UAA#Overview.  REMEMBER, IT WILL WORK FASTER AND BETTER IF YOU HAVE FIRST LOGGED INTO YOUR ACCOUNT ON THE MAIN FLORIDA BAR WEBSITE.
  4.  If the room block is full by the time that you try to make your hotel reservation, please put your name on the waitlist, which is being monitored throughout the entire process. We will people on the waitlist into rooms as they become available.
  5.  PLEASE NOTE THE CANCELLATION TIMELINE AND POLICIES AS REFERENCED IN THE BROCHURE.  DO NOT TRY TO MAKE A CANCELLATION OR MODIFICATION WHEN PENALTIES ARE STATED TO BE IN EFFECT AND EXPECT THAT THE PENALTIES WILL BE WAIVED - YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!!!
  6.  As a reminder, if you have any questions concerning the registration procedures, or have issues with registering on the Bar website or with hotel reservations, DO NOT CALL MARY ANN OBOS OR HILARY STEPHENS, AND DO NOT HAVE YOUR LEGAL ASSISTANT CALL MARY ANN OR HILARY.   7.  IF YOU NEED TO CANCEL OR MODIFY YOUR HOTEL ROOM RESERVATION, YOU MUST SEND AN EMAIL TO MARY ANN (mobos at floridabar.org<mailto:mobos at floridabar.org>) WITH THE DETAILS.  PLEASE DO NOT CALL MARY ANN TO CANCEL OR MODIFY YOUR HOTEL ROOM RESERVATION - IT MUST BE DONE VIA EMAIL.  ALSO, THE HOTEL WILL NOT BE HANDLING CANCELLATIONS OF OR MODIFICATIONS TO YOUR RESERVATION, SO CALLING THE HOTEL WILL NOT WORK.
