[RPPTL LandTen] Commission clauses in property management agreements?

Dear All,

So many property managers are putting clauses in their auto renewing property management agreements whereby they try to make the property owner pay a commission to them if the property sells to the tenant or otherwise while they are managing the property.

I thought this violates 475.25(1)(r) and I recall seeing some disciplinary procedures over this over the years.

They sneak these clauses in and if the owner sells, they try to make the owner pay a commission to them.

Is this correct?

Harry
