But not quite for a real estate attorney.

I have a client that owns and manages a large apartment complex. They are
having some issues with tenants, and a few of them have gone to the papers.
Client just found out that the local paper is going to run an article
accusing the complex and the property manager of racism. Serious stuff.
However, the reporter never reached out to the owner or manager regarding
the allegations, and the client believe the claims are unfounded. He would
like to speak with a tort/libel type attorney as to what remedies they may
have if the article runs and he can establish that all the claims are
baseless. Yes, I have advised him that this is pretty much a useless task
and will most likely just make the whole thing continue around for a few
more news cycles. But he is hurt and pissed as this has never happened to
him at any of his properties. He is also very concerned as to what this
might do to his bottom line with regard to new tenants or even buyers. And
to be honest, I am not really qualified to advise him on the subject, as my
experience in the subject consists of approximately three hours on the
subject during first year Torts and a forced showing of "Absence of Malice"
during an undergrad journalism class.

Any recommendations (of lawyers)?

Thanks.
