Is anyone familiar with the current state of the law in Florida with regard to the landlord's ability to control who carries what kind of weapons into a building?
For example, do our landlords still have the ability to prohibit tenants from keeping guns on the premises?
Does that have to be in the lease? What about guests and invitees?
Can they prohibit all people or any people from bringing guns into the premises?
Likewise as to keeping the gun in an automobile in the property's parking lot?
What if the tenants have flammable materials or unprotected human beingss that doesn’t respond well to bullets?
I am concerned about the landlord that declares the building to be a "gun free zone". What about Landlord liability for crime?
What is/will be "foreseeable risk" when everyone Is carrying? What is his exposure when some idiot comes into the building and shoots a few people?
And finally, how many bullet holes per square foot does it take to make the wear and tear unreasonable?
