The green building movement, including green leasing contractual provisions, may seem to be unfamiliar territory to many professionals. Upon closer examination, however, we will see that, while the systems may be new, the methods are not.  Please join us as Ralph DeMeo discusses the continued viability of the green building movement and evaluate the risks, rewards, incentives, and costs of green leases by focusing on the differing perspective of the tenant and the landlord.

Ralph A. DeMeo is a Shareholder with Hopping Green & Sams, P.A. and practices environmental, land use, administrative, health and safety, and animal law, with an emphasis in civil and administrative litigation. He is a former college English professor, and currently is an adjunct professor of Legal Studies at Tallahassee Community College, and of Environmental Policy in the Environmental Sciences Institute at Florida A&M University. He is a frequent lecturer and author of numerous legal and creative works. Ralph has served as a member and legal advisor to a number of human welfare, animal welfare, and arts not-for-profit organizations, and currently serves on the Leon County Health Care Community Grants Committee, the Tallahassee Little Theatre Board of Directors, and Pets Ad Litem Board of Directors.
