I am working on two charter school projects.  I am the dirt lawyer, however, a former county attorney advised they do not need to go through the normal building codes since it is a school. If you would like her name I will be glad to share.

We have the opportunity to represent a national charter school builder that is looking to do their first project in Florida.  As we understand the business model, the client will acquire the land, build the school and then lease it an operator.  We can handle the routine real estate work, but we are looking for someone to assist us with regard to charter school issues such as:  Does the builder need to comply with school board procurement rules, what provisions need to be in the lease with the operator, etc.

Can anyone offer some expertise?
