Attached is the Agenda for our meeting on November 22, 2013 at 3:30 pm at the Ritz Carlton Sarasota. If you are not able to be attend in person there is the ability to join us by calling in. The call in number and pin are in the attached Agenda. Our own Anthony Horky will speak on the how to handle a party who is in possession of a property who is not entitled to be there and is not there under a lease. The answer is unlawful detainer/ejectment.
In addition there is a scheduled CLE program on Friday, November 22, 2013, 9:30 A.M. - 11:00 A.M. on Due Diligence Considerations for Ground Leases: Use of a Letter of Intent in Structuring Ground Lease Transactions and Coordinating Due Diligence. The speakers will be Alex Dunser, Co-Managing Member, D2 Law Group and Anne Pollack, Shareholder, Mechanik Nuccio Hearne & Wester, PA. Mr. Dunser and Ms. Pollack discuss land use, title, property association, and other legal issues commonly negotiated in ground leases. They will look to the key provisions in a letter of intent to highlight major and minor issues that are important but often overlooked during the due diligence process.
