Lee Haas, a colleague on the West Coast, has a jury trial upcoming on unlawful entry and detainer (Lee’s email is below). Can anyone point us to a set of jury instructions for this cause of action? I’ve copied Lee on this email in case anyone want to email him directly.
Thanks
Manny

Subject: jury instruction in unlawful entry/unlawful detainer case
Manny,
There are no standard civil instructions for the above type case, and our business and contract instructions we’re working on don’t cover this either. Are you aware of any standard instructions? I’ve looked through your chapter on jury instructions in the Business Litigation in Florida manual and don’t see anything there. I’ve got a case with a trespasser to a residence (convicted felon) who has demanded a jury trial of the unlawful entry and detainer case (presumably to slow the case down), and I need to try to put my hands on instructions quickly, because even though I’m ready with evidence and witnesses, I don’t have any instructions at hand. Thanks for any help or suggestions you can give.
