Hi Neil and listmates -
I attended via phone and very much enjoyed the statutory revision discussion and Julie's additional insured endorsement presentation.
I'm hopeful that we'll continue to get updates on the proposed 713.10 revisions. Even though I practice construction and lien law as well (or maybe because I do), I'm somewhat concerned about the fig leaf being offered to the construction practitioners in the form of a tenant improvement allowance lien right, though I agree with the spirit of such a concept. It would seem to create a novel creature of (non real-property) lien law along with all the procedural, priority, and foreclosure issues that such a carve-out might entail. The other proposed changes are an outstanding effort to clarify an otherwise confusing scheme.
