The Central Oregon SAF Chapter and the SAF Northwest Office are co-sponsoring a conference on Forest Restoration. Would it be possible to send a message to your IESAF list serv publicizing the conference? Attached is the registration brochure and below is a short blurb if needed. I think some of your folks might be interested in attending, so any help you can provide in getting the word out would be appreciated.

Forest Restoration Conference Slated for October 12-14
   A conference exploring the theme of "Forest Restoration Beyond Fuels Reduction: What is the Vision?" is scheduled for October 12-14 at Central Oregon Community College in Bend.
   Sponsored by the Central Oregon Chapter of the Society of American Foresters and others, 27 speakers will examine topics ranging from harvesting and economics to silviculture treatments and social aspects of restoration. Speakers include Wally Covington, Regents' Professor, Northern Arizona University, and executive director of the Ecological Restoration Institute; John Allen, forest supervisor of the Deschutes National Forest; Tom Spies, PNW Research Station in Corvallis; John Bailey of the OSU College of Forestry; and many others.
   October 12-13 will feature all-day indoor sessions, and an optional field trip that complements the indoor program is scheduled on October 14.
   Attached is the registration brochure that includes a full agenda and registration materials. Register by October 5 for the early-bird registration rate.
