Through the Idaho Farm Bureau, we have set up a tour of the college of
Natural Resources with Dean Mclaughlin and Jo-Ellen Force on Thursday march
24th , starting at 8:30am room 200.  Dr. Mclaughlin will speak on the
current situation in the college and the future direction. Then we tour the
forest products lab; then hear Jo-Ellen Force on forest policy and a person
from the forest products/forest resources program.

The tour will conclude with a question and answer session and end at
11:00am.

 

We are encouraged to use this as an opportunity to gather information on
what the college is doing and to be non-confrontational as they are going
out of their way to accommodate us at a very busy time.

As you know WSU has closed its forestry program and aside from the U of M,
we're short of professional forestry schools on the East Side- budgets are
very tight. Active forest management is not as popular as it once was in
colleges all over. Your participation is welcomed.
