I would like to take a moment and congratulate Jason Parke on his new position with the Montana DNR.  Jason is our current chair and we were looking forward to this year with Jason.  We hate to see you go Jason but wish you the best of luck!

This leaves us with a huge void both at chair and chair-elect for our Chapter.  We are in need of two people to step forward.  You will receive help on formulating a program and places to meet.  In fact this years program is already planned.  You could be part of next years program (2009-2010).   Please don't be shy we need help and ideas.

Steve Bloedel our past chair has agreed to help out until we can find a chair.  He has already contributed 2 years.  He has asked me to send a note to the chapter. 

Please look at the part  SAF plays in your current career or the career in forestry you may have completed.  The chair position is not a huge impact.  Generally about 8 chapter meetings, 4-5 executive council meetings and if we have a chair elect you can delegate some of that responsibility if you have a time crunch.  Please, we need two volunteers!
