SUMMER FIELD TRIP

 

This is a trip to Ponderay Newsprint Company and Ponderay Valley Fiber at Usk.

 

Meet at the Ponderay Newsprint at 9:00, Friday morning to begin the tour.  Newsprint is just south of Usk about 1 mile on Hwy 20, I will meet you at the security gate.  Tour of Ponderay Valley Fiber begins at 12:00.  Please be on time, call my cell phone below if you are going to be late.

 

Usk is 50 miles from Spokane via Hwy 2 and Hwy 211.  Usk is 59 miles from Coeur D'Alene via Hwy 41 and Hwy 20.  Usk is 45 miles from Sandpoint via Hwy 2 and Hwy 20.  Usk is 16 miles from Newport, WA via Hwy 20.

 

Bring your own lunch or snack. There will not be a formal sit down as we will go from one tour to the next.   Wear appropriate attire for touring an operating mill and bring a hardhat unless you want to wear the furnished one.

 

An informal, stand up, business meeting will be held following the end of the tours.

 

PLEASE RSVP by COB June 18.    Contact lkaney at povn.com or 509-671-3374 and leave a message.  I need to know so the mill can arrange enough tour guides. Or cancel the meeting if lack of interest.
