Hello, all!

Hope this new year finds you all well, happy, and ready to move forward
with a new year of SAF! I'm very proud to be your Chair for this calendar
year, and I hope I can serve you to the same standards you've come to
expect from my predecessors.

To kick off our new year of business, our 2008 Inland Empire SAF Leadership
Retreat is only two weeks away. This year we're holding it at the Priest
River Experimental Forest. Set the date on your calendars:  Friday, January
18 and Saturday, January 19. I'm attaching the registration form and
agenda. Although the Chapter and Executive Committee leadership are
especially encouraged to attend, I'm extending this invitation to all IESAF
members (especially those of you who may want a leadership role in the
future.)

This year we are keeping the meeting very informal. Activities will focus
on reducing burn-out and improving service locally to both SAF members and
our communities. Lodging space is limited to 18-20 on the premises, so a
prompt RSVP to me is CRITICAL!!!  Please email or phone me as soon as
possible if you plan to attend.  Payment can be made at the time of
check-in, but I must know in advance how many to plan for... I'll send out
follow-up details only to those who RSVP to me!
