<DIV></DIV>Each year at the annual meeting, we award Forester of the Year and
<DIV></DIV>Communicator of the Year awards. We need nominations for this year's awards to
<DIV></DIV>recognize outstanding achievements in 2004. The Forester of the Year is awarded
<DIV></DIV>for general excellence in the practice and/or promotion of Forestry. The
<DIV></DIV>Communicator of the Year is awarded for positive public relations or communication
<DIV></DIV>about the field of Forestry. The bylaws state that recipients do not need
<DIV></DIV>to be SAF members. I knew that was true of Communicator of the Year, but I
<DIV></DIV>thought the Forester of the Year was chosen from our membership. If in doubt,
<DIV></DIV>nominate someone and let the Nominations and Awards committee determine their
<DIV></DIV>eligibility.
