Good Afternoon Inland Empire SAF Members. Attached is the Executive Summary
of a report prepared for the Washington DNR by the College of Forest
Resources at the University of Washington. Those of us who live and work in
the State of Washington may find the conclusions of this report more
interesting, and timely, than those of us who live and work in Idaho.
However, the implications of the conclusions in the report will impact the
forest industry, and related timber markets, in Idaho as well. This report
also fits nicely with the topics that we discussed at the IE/MT Annual
Meeting last April.

I f you wish to read the entire report, simply follow the directions to the
Rural Technology home page.

I hope you have had a wonderful summer in spite of, or because of, the
extreme fire year that we have had had. I look forward to seeing you in the
future.
