<div dir="ltr"><br>Palouse - Snake River Chapter Members,<br><br>Our Chair, Randall Walker, has taken a District Ranger detail on the Upper Lake District of the Mendocino National Forest, not to exceed <br>120 days. I am pleased to serve as Acting Chair during his absence. I am working on the program for our next meeting, tentatively set for <br>November 30 in Moscow. At that meeting, we will hold elections for 2012 officer positions, and discuss meeting, workshop, and field tour <br>activities for next year. <br><br><b>Volunteer needed:<br></b><br>As you may have heard, IESAF recently voted to join Northwest SAF. As part of that process, an Idaho section will be added to the NW SAF <br>website, with links to the local chapters, outreach, and policy positions. The Idaho section will look similar to the current Oregon and <br>Washington drop-down menus:<br><br>http://www.forestry.org/<br><br>We are looking for a volunteer to help organize materials for the new web page section, as soon as possible. This exposure is especially <br>important because of the upcoming National Convention in Spokane. Please contact Dick Reid or myself if you're able to contribute a small <br>amount of time over the next few weeks.
