Dear SAF Members,

The Panorama Chapter and Inland Empire Society of American Foresters invite you to register for the annual meeting in Colville, Washington on March 5-7, 2009. This years meeting will be held at the Northeast Washington Fair Agriculture Trade Building. We will discuss the challenges and opportunities associated with managing forests in difficult market conditions. 

We have lined up speakers with expertise in biology, bio-fuels, business, economics, entomology, forest management and social sciences to address interesting and thought provoking topics relating to managing our forests. 

Additionally, members of the Northeast Washington Forestry Coalition will discuss their efforts to demonstrate that a diverse group of stakeholders can work together to successfully promote, design and implement innovative forest restoration and fuels reduction projects that can be emulated nationwide. 

You will have an opportunity to look at ongoing biomass removal, fuel reduction and forest management efforts and discuss silviculture on Saturday's field trip. We are planning to visit private, state, and federal projects west of Kettle Falls. 

The program will be interesting and fun. Plan to attend!
