December PSR Chapter Meeting

Title: Assessing Fuel Treatment Effectiveness with Field and Remote
Sensing Data

Presented by:  Andrew Hudak - Research Forester, RMRS - USFS

Overview:  Can fuel treatments mitigate wildfire intensity, property
destruction, and soil and vegetation loss?  We will look at several burn
complexes (East Zone, Cascade, and Egley) to determine how well
mechanical thinning and prescribed fire mitigated wildfire behavior.

When: Wednesday, December 10th

Presentation, 7:00pm

Where: University Inn Best Western, Moscow, ID  - LATAH Room (Just to
the right, inside main front doors)
