[Iesaf_palouse] Oct. 1st PSR Chapter meeting

Dear All,

 

Where oh where has this year gone?  I can't believe I am sending out the
October announcement. 

 

Following is the pre-announcement along with several business items that
need to be addressed at the meeting:

 

When: Oct. 1st, Wednesday, 5:30PM

Where:  China Inn, Lewiston

Topic: "Environmental Education for Kids" by Bob Chicken
(Milton-Freewater) and Lisa Naylor (Dayton).

 

Business Items:  Support for UI/WSU SAF students to National Convention

                                  Chapter officer elections

 

Regarding chapter officers, Kara Chadwick (USFS - Potlatch) has put her
name in the hat for chair-elect 2009.  Please regard this email as an
official request for additional nominations for this position.  These
nominations need to be emailed to me by Oct. 1st.   I will then send out
an email ballot for the chair-elect position on Oct. 2nd.  

 

Also, the chapter will be needing a new Treasurer for 2009.  Greg
Bassler is retiring from this position after many years of dedicated and
exemplary service.  We will need to have this position filled by
12/31/08.

 

If you have any questions about the officer positions, please send me an
email.

 

For those of you who were unable to attend our last chapter meeting,
there were several important items that were covered.

1)      A short In Memoriam was held for Richard Dingle and Albert
Stage, both who passed away earlier this summer

2)      A Plaque of Appreciation was presented to Keith Blatner and Jo
Ellen Force for their support and dedication to the advancement of the
UI/WSU/PSR SAF chapters
