Hi Foresters,

Each year at the annual meeting, we award Forester of the Year and  
Communicator of the Year awards.  We need nominations for this year's  awards to 
recognize outstanding achievements in 2004.  The Forester of the  Year is awarded 
for general excellence in the practice and/or promotion of  Forestry.  The 
Communicator of the Year is awarded for positive public  relations or communication 
about the field of Forestry.  The bylaws  state that recipients do not need 
to be SAF members.  I knew that was true  of Communicator of the Year, but I 
thought the Forester of the Year was  chosen from our membership.  If in doubt, 
nominate someone and let the  Nominations and Awards committee determine their 
eligibility.
