GREETINGS PALOUSE/SNAKE RIVER SAF,

Hope everyone has had a great summer.  It is time for us all to get 
together for our first fall chapter meeting.  Our first meeting is going 
to be a very special event with UI and WSU natural resource 
students as our main focus.  Our guest speaker, Steve Daley 
Laursen - Dean - UI College of Natural Resources, will welcome our 
natural resource students back and give us a informative and 
thought inspiring presentation.  In addition, our chapter will treat the 
attending natural resource students to FREE PIZZA and drinks.  
So please come and enjoy the evening with your SAF comrades.

2004 Canadian Institute of Forestry and the Society of American 
Foresters Joint Annual Meeting and Convention.  "One Forest 
Under Two Flags" - Oct. 2-6, Edmonton, Alberta Canada.  Register 
before August 25 to receive early registration prices.

2005 SAF Tri-Society Annual Meeting - "Corp of Discovery: 
Foresters Walking in the Footsteps of Lewis and Clark" - April 13-
15, Lewiston, ID.  Members interested in volunteering to help

ANNOUNCEMENTS

Forester's Fund Applications are due September 15.  
Grants will be  awarded up to $6000.  Contact
