<p class="MsoNormal">There is a recently filed House Bill that has implications for the members of our committee. Specifically, please see HB 255, attached. The proposal is an amendment to Chapter 718 governing condominiums. Specifically, the revision that
 seems most likely to impact our committee is a proposed amendment to Section 718.124, regarding the tolling of statutes of limitations and repose for condominium associations:<o:p></o:p></p>

<p class="MsoNormal">As many of you may recall, our Committee recently took a position on potential revisions to close gaps in the statutes of limitations and repose on actions arising from construction projects in Section 95.11(3)(b). At the time, one of our
 committee’s concerns was that there was a potential for a developer to retain control of a condominium association until such time as the statute of repose expires. Section 718.124 was later amended to add the words “and statute of repose,” which mitigated
 those concerns:<o:p></o:p></p>
