[RPPTL-constructionlaw] Friday February 24 at 11:30AM ET - Construction Law Committee Meeting

Dear CLCers,

Take 4 on this announcement. I can’t read a calendar it appears. The RPPTL has this meeting on Friday at 11:30 ET and more importantly that is what our speaker Mr. Comiskey has available.
Apologies for the confusion and you can all give me grief at the CLI.

This is your reminder that the CLC meeting that coincides with the RPPTL Executive Council meeting and CLE will be Friday, February 24, 2023, starting at 11:30 A.M.  ET.

Our CLE presenter for this meeting will be Charles Comiskey on “Negotiation or Litigation”. - The days of using generic insurance requirements are over. Many insurance policy provisions state that “coverage shall not be broader than that required by contract”, limiting its maximum scope to what you have drafted, but fail to address the widespread use of invisible exclusions.  Does your wording adequately protect not only your client but also your firm? This discussion will provide direction regarding drafting better insurance prerequisites.
