If you missed it, this past weekend was the 15th Annual Florida Construction Law Institute (CLI) at the J.W. Marriott Grande Lakes in Orlando, Florida and, as before, Jason Quintero and his crew did a fabulous job.

Highlights from this year’s edition include:

·         A FULL golf tournament in fantastic weather on Thursday

·         My first reception with other living, breathing lawyers in a year on the patio Thursday evening

·         On Friday, great mediators (Jim, Bruce and John) giving us a “behind the curtain” look at the mediation process in big CD cases

·         Lee Weintraub doing Lee Weintraub on Liens at 11:00 a.m.

·         Lee Weintraub doing Lee Weintraub at the bar at 5:30 p.m. (reception) and again at 11:00 p.m. (at the JW bar)

·         Sanjay Kurian reminding us on Saturday why we are all probably within an inch of sanctions on e-discovery since none of us understands what the heck “elusion” is

All kidding aside, this year was another great event and, if you missed it, you can download and watch it after the fact (subject to availability, which I don’t know when that will be at the moment), for a small fee, of course.

Also, if you missed the event, you missed my announcement of a new CLC subcommittee.  More on that to come.

But if you need CLE, order and download the CLI!  It’s worth 13 credits which, for those up for re-certification, may be just what you need.
