On April 29, 2021, the Supreme Court of Florida formally amended Florida Rule of Civil Procedure 1.510 by adopting the text of Federal Rule of Civil Procedure Rule 56. This course will discuss summary judgment practice and procedure in light of new Rule 1.510, effective May 1, 2021, and how the new rule will apply to summary judgment motions decided prior to or pending before this date.
