In all seriousness, you are correct.  I have also been reminded that Claramargeret Groover was, until recently, serving on the Governing Committee and that Tony Lehman, who lives in Atlanta (a Bulldog J.D., but a Commodore undergrad, so I overlook that), is one of our illustrious number who was also just elected to the Governing Committee.

If I have overlooked anyone else, please reply to me with your best Arnie-at-a-Forum-Event story and I will be sure to give you proper credit along with the opportunity to share said story with the Committee (assuming it’s printable).

Alas, dear Reese, you failed to fully acknowledge the breadth and influence of Florida’s “construction bar” upon The Forum.

Tom Icard (’90), Leslie King O’Neal-Coble (?) and Mike Nuechterlein (’96) were all Forum Chairs long before George and Steve took the helm.

These three illustrious lawyers also share the fact that each interviewed me while I was in law school and each passed on hiring me.  Their loss!

I am confident that my very good friend Carey “Carey” Wright, being born and raised in Jacksonville, will carry-on the long tradition of strong leadership exhibited by the giants before him.   Arnie.

It’s official!  Our very own Cary Wright is now, effective September 1, 2020, Chair-Elect of the ABA’s Forum on Construction Law.  And if that wasn’t impressive enough, he somehow also snuck Nick Siegfried onto the Governing Committee!

Please join me in congratulating Cary and Nick on their election to their respective roles.  Florida’s construction lawyers continue to be well-represented in the ABA Forum (yes, Steve Lesser and George Meyer, I am looking at you.)
