It's clear that we no longer do business the way that we used to, and the practices of design, construction and law have changed dramatically in the last 10 years.  Join us in sunny Tucson, Arizona for an in-depth discussion of the risks in this new era and a discussion of future trends. Our program will offer advice for litigators, transactional lawyers, in-house counsel and outside counsel! Experienced lawyers and industry leaders will explore topics including the role of expanding technology and cyber security and changes in risk assessment and management related to such changes. Sessions will examine cutting-edge topics such as the risks raised by using high-tech tools such as augmented reality and artificial intelligence and risks related to new trends in litigation management, e-discovery and labor and employment developments. We’re looking for diverse construction lawyers who have demonstrated interest in the Forum to join the ranks of our leadership.  The Forum’s fellowship program encourages diverse construction lawyers to join the ranks of active, long-term Forum members! The Forum awards up to six (6) three-year fellowships each spring. Fellows receive a number of benefits including waiver of registration fees for the Forum’s three annual meetings, reimbursement of reasonable travel and accommodation expenses to attend the Forum’s Annual Meeting held each spring, and waiver of Forum membership dues.  Additionally, Fellows are given the opportunity to join the steering committee of one of the Forum’s fourteen (14) divisions!  The application deadline is Friday, January 31, 2020. Diversity Scholarships

The Forum will be awarding six Diversity Scholarships for the Midwinter Meeting that cover the cost of registration. These scholarships are awarded to women and minority construction lawyers, construction lawyers with disabilities, and construction lawyers from the LGBT community. Individuals wishing to be considered for a scholarship should submit a copy of their resume together with a short letter describing their construction law practice, along with reasons why they want to attend the Mid-Winter. If selected, candidates must commit to attend the program (the scholarships are not transferable). Questions and/or applications for the scholarships should be sent directly to the Chair of the Forum’s Diversity and Inclusion Committee, Nick Holmes, at nholmes at devinemillimet.com<mailto:nholmes at devinemillimet.com>.

The deadline for applications is December 6, 2019.
