Hey Gang: Hope everyone in the mighty CLC is doing well. How am I? Thanks for asking. I'm just peachy.
I've been receiving a lot of fan mail lately as folks in the CLC want to know more about me. I can't blame them. Undoubtedly, I'm the most interesting man in the CLC (I rarely perform online legal research, but when I do, I use Westlaw. Stay thirsty my friends.) .
Let's refer to these admiring fans as Arnie Groupies. O.k. - there are a few stalkers in there too. Also, no more free autographed glossy photos of my feet (someone has a fetish and fortunately that gene wasn't passed-down to her son. O.k. - one more picture but that's it. Happy Mother's Day and see ya' on Sunday for brunch).
So, in grand NPR fashion, the following is a quiz to help you to get to know me (a/k/a Need to Know).
Question #1: Which one of the following Republican candidates for President of The United States of America did Arnie spill a drink on (and I mean drenched them)?
(A) Mr. Herman Cain
(B) Mrs. Michelle Bachman (I don't know the Swiss word for Mrs.)
(C) Mr. Donald Trump
(D) Mrs. Sarah Palin
Question #2: Which of the following events hasn't Arnie sat in a stadium or arena sky box for?
(A) Monster Truck Rally
(B) Hulkamania Wrestling Match
(C) Jackson 5 Reunion Tour
(D) NFL Football Play-Off Game
Question #3: While in high school, how did Arnie earn spending money?
(A) Bagboy at Publix
(B) Pitching dimes in men's restroom
(C) Chippendale Dancer
(D) Flipping burgers at Burger King.
Question #4: While in college and/or law school, which one of the following jobs didn't Arnie have?
(A) Night Club Bouncer
(B) Hotel Bellhop
(C) Westlaw Representative / Instructor
(D) Chippendale Dancer
Question #5: Who is Arnie's favorite author?
(A) Steve Rakusin
(B) Larry Leiby
(C) Malcolm Gladwell
(D) Just belongs to Oprah Book Club and follows subscribed reading assignments.
The first CLC member to send me (and only me - not the entire CLC ListServ) an email with all correct answers to the quiz will be recognized at Monday's teleconference and CLE presentation. Correct answers will be posted on my blog.
Oh yeah - the CLC's May speaker is Michael Clark with Siegfried Rivera. Michael's presentation will cover contractual limitations of liability. Always remember the
Arnie-ism as to contracts - Large print give-ith, small print take-ith away.
Don't forget that our telephonic meeting is scheduled for Monday, May 14, 2012 - 11:30 until 1:00 pm. To join dial 888-376-5050 - Pass Code: 1326538415# .
Talk to ya' on Monday and have a great weekend. Arnie.
