Contact Daniel Boone (seriously) at Everwood Floors, (dboone at everwoodfloors.com<mailto:dboone at everwoodfloors.com>) in Deland.  He was with Boone Flooring in Jacksonville for many years and is very knowledgeable on these installation/acclimation issues.

If the wood is "cupped" and the proposed fix is sanding and refinishing, your client should probably tell the contractor and/or installation subcontractor to forget it; the problem is underneath, not on the finished surface.

Fellow members:
I am looking for a recommendation for wood flooring installation expert  (engineered flooring) in the north Florida area.  I represent a homeowner on new construction.  Problem is not a defect in the product but the installation of the product.  Issues involved are failure to allow the flooring product to acclimate prior to installation and proposed "fixes" by the contractor and flooring subcontractor.
