If we decide to do a CLE at the May meeting, I'll be happy to do a final legislative report for 2011; otherwise, I'll do it at the June meeting. Personally, I'd like to see the May meeting be "organizational business" to some long-range goads and to include reports from each subcommittee on the scope of what each does and a call for volunteers to increase participation.

Subject: [RPPTL-constructionlaw] RPPTL - Construction Law Committee - "Bid Protests in Florida" and CLE Update

Folks,

We are looking forward to hearing from you at today's meeting beginning at 11:30am (to join dial 866-411-5140 - Pin: 65498715#). Joe Goldstein of Shutts & Bowen will begin his CLE presentation at noon regarding "Bid Protests in Florida." His presentation materials are attached.

As you know, May's meeting will be a live meeting at the Eden Roc Hotel in Miami Beach. The Committee will need to consult about whether we want to have a CLE presentation at that meeting or whether we will want to devote the entire meeting to Committee business.

Scheduled speakers for the next couple months include Eric Adams (confidentiality under Fla. R. Jud. Admin. 2.420) and Jason Perkins (construction indemnity considerations). We have slots available starting in June and thereafter. If you are interested in giving a 25 minute or more talk at one of our meetings, please email me or click on this link<https://spreadsheets0.google.com/viewform?formkey=dDd6VUZpdHZMUlZZZHNCZEZvcTlJc3c6MQ> to fill out the form with details.

CLE credits are up to date through January 10, 2011. We will submit the presentations for February through April 2011 for approval after today's talk. This will include the following:

April 11, 2011

Joe Goldstein

Bid Protests in Florida

Program summarizing experience, lessons learned, and best practices in Florida bid protests.

March 14, 2011
