[CLC-Discussion] FedNat Insurance Receivership Stay

[RPPTL CLC-Discussion]

All,

                I have never had the issue of the notice of receivership of an insurer in a construction case before and I was curious as to the group's thoughts regarding the scope and applicability of the stay. FedNat is the one I received notice on last week and I know there are a couple of others recently put in receivership. In my case, a minor third party defendant has FedNat insurance. Based on my reading of the statute, that means the case is automatically stayed for 6 months. Is that everyone else's reading/experience in the past? Other than dropping that party is there any way to expedite the matter? Thanks in advance for any insight.
