[CLC-Discussion] Survival of AIA provisions

I wouldn’t say it’s necessary since these provisions by their very nature are intended to apply - exclusively in the case of the warranty - once the work is completed.  But hey, belt-and-suspenders is our stock in trade, no?

From the Owner’s perspective, there are numerous provisions in the AIA which need to “live on” after completion of the project – i.e., indemnity, warranties.  Is it necessary to insert a general survival provision, or where these items are later litigated is there an assumption that the provisions survive completion?
