[CLC-Discussion] Expired Permits

Pardon the interruption. Has anyone dealt with the effect on a registered contractor (i.e., local jurisdiction) of expired permits pulled by a prior qualifier for the company who is no longer associated with the company? Can the company (as opposed to the prior qualifier) be penalized for the acts of the prior qualifier? Client’s permits in local jurisdiction which were pulled under new qualifier are on hold and client cannot get any new permits issued until the old permits pulled by prior qualifier are closed out properly. I intend to check the local municipal code and F.A.C. to see if it speaks to the issue, but would appreciate any guidance or thoughts you may have on the propriety of the local jurisdiction’s actions.

Thanks!
