[CLC-Discussion] Arnie Establishes New CLC "Style & Fashion" Committee

Gang:    In a Meryl Streep-like move from the movie "The Devil Wears Prada", I have, by edict, established a new CLC committee entitled "Style & Fashion" and have taken my rightful place as its inaugural Chair.  As my first act as Chair, I am officially declaring (really reminding) that cargo shorts (and cargo pants in most applications) are officially dead and outlawed at all future CLC events (even when appearing telephonically). Sure, it's a harsh move but each of you (Lee Weintraub) know deep down that it's a mercy kill.

What lead me to this most justified, tectonic act? Well, first, I have had way too much sugar and caffeine today and thought what better opportunity than this afternoon to, once again, change the world of Florida construction law forever.

Secondly, I spotted Hardy Roberts and Reese Henderson by the pool at The Breakers during an RPPTL gathering both sporting cargo shorts. I have tracked and fully participated in the '90s fashion phenomena of cargo shorts.  It was cool at first.  Thin, young, ripped guys like me wearing cargo shorts while shopping in Abercrombie & Finch. Then cargo shorts started being sold at Old Navy and American Eagle. I took a deep breath and waited for the impact of hitting rock bottom. Finally, crash, cargo shorts ended-up in the Dad's section at Kohl's and on Hardy and Reese's skinny legs.

To paraphrase Walt Whitman; "O Cargo Shorts! my Cargo Shorts! Our fearful trip is done." Farwell my olive, tan and other earth-tone colored cargo shorts.  Farewell to your useful pockets and unusually large belt loops. Farewell!
